Kids aged 6 – 12 will discover the many fascinating aspects of Egypt, from mummies to pyramids to papyrus! Topics for study will include geography, geology, architecture, art, antiquities, mythology and innovations that can be traced back to the time of the pharaohs. Kids College will study many different facets of science, technology, engineering and mathematics, as well as social studies, history, art, drama and music! 

On most campuses, Kids College runs Monday thru Thursday, 8:00am - 5:00pm, with snacks provided.  The Beeville campus has a meal plan available, but on other campuses, kids should bring their own lunches. Cost varies dependent on program offerings.

• Latchkey Camps- provide children with a chance to develop character, learn life skills, make new friends, and discover new intersts. The program features activities rannging from swimming, tennis, arts & crafts, guest speakers, and field trips. It operates M-F  7:30am-6:00pm for children ages 5-13. $79/week. • Recreation Center Programs (FREE)- Open campus recreation activities including arts & crafts, games, various recreation, indoor & outdoor games, table games, playgrounds, etc.) These programs are generally supervised  and are offered June 18-August 10, 2012, M-F 11am-4pm for ages 6-16. • "Lunch On Us!" Program (FREE)- Lunch from 11:30am-1:00pm plus a snack from 3pm-4pm are available at over 20 eligible sites mainly M-F. Program is provided by the Texas Department of Agriculture. Call (361)826-3460 for more information and location.

• Summer Sports Camps-Available June 4- Augut 10, 2012 with each week a different sport offered and professional instructors for boys and girls ages 6-18 a the Corpus Christi Gym Camps. • Sports Leagues-Various sports leagues are available throughout the summer including Boys Baseball, Youth Baseball, and Northside Youth Basketball. Prices vary dependent on which program your child participates in. Call (361)826-3588.
• Skate 101- (FREE) Free lessons for 12 and younger on Saturdays from 9am-11am. Helmets are required and registration is on-site. Call (361)826-3460 for the summer schedule and details.
• Swim Lessons are offered for ages 6 months and older and will run from May 29-June 10, 2012 at various locations. Fee is $40/session. Call (361)826-3460 for more information.

Specifically for area junior high and high school students, the YEST Summer Camp will help develop math, science, and engineering concepts to participants. There will be hands-on engineering projects and technical activities as part of the program.  In addition, the camp will offer:

• Prizes-notebooks, gadgets, etc.
• Professional Speakers
• Field trip
• Parent Campus Tour

Participants must be between ages 14-21. This camp is free and funding is provided by the Texas Workforce Commission.  Students must complete an application form and be selected to participate in this camp. See the camp brochure or visit their website  for more information.

Campers will participate in  a large variety of activities such as art and crafts, karaoke, gymnastics, cheerleading, soccer, tumbling, basketball, volleyball, kickball, swimming, large screen movies, weekly field trips, and so much more. SeaCamp activities include tours, programs, animal encounters, fishing, and water activities. Younger children will enjoy arts & crafts and story times, while older children will engage in field experiences, go "behind the scenes" with animal care staff, and enjoy one overnight stay either at the Aquarium or a local wildlife conservation center.

Campers are divided into smaller groups for surfing instruction based on the following age groups but can vary due to class size and individual experience. Ages are: 5-8 years old, 9-12 years old, and 13 and up.

In addition to instruction in surfing and related ocean sports, our activities will include:

The GK-12 Summer Field Science Program is a hands-on, inquiry-based science camp for students entering grades 3-8 at the University of Texas at Austin Marine Science Institute (UTMSI).  Participants explore the unique ecosystem of the Texas Gulf Coast and gain a deeper understanding of their world with Master Teachers and Scientists from the Coastal Bend.

Chess Camp
Ages 5-15 • All Abilities

USA Chess is the largest and premier chess camp organizer for children in the United States. Our staff  is comprised of the finest children's chess instructors in North America. Campers experience chess instruction and play in a fun filled environment designed to improve their skills whether they are interested in casual or competitive chess. Program includes a mix of classroom instruction and practice sessions. Instructors use a variety of teaching tools including demo boards, worksheets, stories and historic games to keep class time interesting. During snack/practice time campers play each other and practice the concepts learned in class.

Parent-Only Class NEW TIME 
Join us each Tuesday for a parent-only class. Parents who have never played chess before will learn the basic rules and opening tactics. For parents who know about chess, opening principals and strategies will be discussed.
