Jul 06, 2010 – Corpus Christi, Texas— Corpus Christi, Texas— In
partnership with the Boy Scouts of America, Corpus Christi Medical
Center will hold an informational meeting to introduce area youth to the
“Learning for Life” Medical Career Exploration Program, a hands-on
learning opportunity for youth interested in healthcare careers. The
meeting will be on Thursday, July 15, 2010 at 6:30pm at the Corpus
Christi Medical Center – Doctors Regional Conference Center, 3315 S.
Alameda. A parent or guardian is required to attend with the student.
The Corpus Christi Medical Center Explorer Post will offer career
education for both young men and women who are 14 -20 years old and
those who have completed the eighth grade. Explorers will have the
opportunity to learn about healthcare careers and participate in
activities including career observation in hospital departments and
participating in community service events. This action oriented program
will focus on Career Opportunities, Leadership Experience, Life Skills,
Citizenship and Character Education.

interest in a medical career, which was a life-changing inspiration. It

hands-on interaction with healthcare professionals from Corpus Christi
Medical Center. Ultimately, our goal is to help our youth pursue their
interest in medical careers and to grow and develop leaders in the

Medical Center.
