Big Bang Celebration

The Corpus Christi Big Bang Celebration is scheduled July 4, 2012. This Anniversary Celebration begins with activities as early as 7a.m. and continues throughout the day topping off with the H-E-B Independence Day Fireworks at 9:30p.m.

Activities are as followed:

7a.m. Solomon P. Ortiz Center- 4 for the 4th-Corpus Christi Roadrunners present a 4 mile Fun Run in Red, White & Blue. For more info. go to their website.
10a.m.Sherrill Park - Independence Day Ceremony- The Mayor's Committee on Veteran's Affairs & the Corpus Christi Veteran's Band invite you to celebrate our independence.
10a.m.-4p.m. only County Courthouse Parking Lots- RTA Parade Shuttle- A FREE Park & Ride shuttle every 5 minutes takes you to & from Shoreline & Kinney. No Shuttle Service after 4:00p.m.
10a.m. Art Museum of South Texas- Dollar Day!- $1.00 Admission until 5:00p.m.
11a.m.Shoreline Blvd -Stars & Strips Parade- The Buccaneer Commission & Bucarader Organization present our patriotic parade.
1p.m. Shoreline & Kinney-Fun Day KidsZone-Rock climbing wall, CCPD/CCFD vehicle display & inflatable activities for kids of all ages. Food and beverages for purchase.
1-9p.m. Destination Bayfront Park-1-5 Texas Sound w/DJ Lorenzo, 5-6:45 Red Giant, 7-9 Reno Perez
9p.m. Art Museum-Fireworks Front Row Seat $5 members/$10 guests
9p.m. Harbor Bridge - Harbor Bridge Light Show. Listen online via smartphone or radio to KBAY 92.7, Z95 or 1440 AM KEYS radio while watching this musically coreographed display
9:30p.m. USS Lexington - H-E-B Independence Day Fireworks-Don't change the station! The magic and the music continue with a magnificent display of fireworks and patriotic tunes!
